A Day in December

Hello World. I hope everyone is doing okay! I am almost done with my fall semester of senior year! It's honestly insane to think I started this blog my freshman year, and here I am, writing another post as a 20 year old. Oh how the time flies. During these days I honestly have been doing a lot of thinking about my life, and others around me. I realized that there is only one thing I really should be focusing on; being kind and accepting of others. Sometimes I find myself steering off that road because of people's actions around me, but I should never let someone else define me. That's why I am here today to share some of my thoughts. Be you, and be kind. We only live once, why have hatred or bad intentions at heart. Don't judge people because they aren't like you, or don't judge someone because they are trying something new. I am not perfect, I definitely find myself judging people who have different interests than me, but the point here is, to try to get rid of that habit. I also tend to neglect my partner's emotions, and it ends up hurting us both. I really want to work on myself, and allow my life to better itself day by day. Let today be your starting point. Tomorrow you'll have two days of happiness under your belt. Doesn't that sound amazing?


I also wanted to come here and just give my advice on how I like to detach myself from a bad environment.


Step 1: Do your laundry

Step 2: Take a nice hot shower and exfoliate


Step 3: Put on your fav comfy pjs


Step 4: Drink water and eat something delicious


Step 5: Watch a peaceful cooking video on YouTube


Step 6: At this point you'll start to smile unintentionally and soon gain the courage to get out of bed and do something you enjoy


Step 7: Sit down with your glass of water and play this song


Step 8: Try playing a game online! I love to play sudoku! Do something you've never done before! Paint your nails in a new way, try some designs! Write your feelings, buy something for someone you cherish. Workout, dance, sing, do anything that will make you happy.


Step 9: Social media is not going to fulfill you, live your life, not someone else's. If you get the urge to open Instagram, tik tok, or snapchat, open the app, but don't let your day revolve around scrolling down a screen.


Step 10: Finish up whatever you were doing and take a moment to just smile!


Step 11: Go get some food and watch your favorite show!


Step 12: End the night off by brushing your teeth and washing your face! Hop into bed and think about your dream life. I do this every night.


Every night I think about my future life and how I plan to spend my days, I decorate my apartment in my head and just picture myself walking around with nothing but happiness. I also end the night by thanking God for everything I have and pray for everyone around me. Open your heart to others, everyone is hurting in a way we can not explain.
