Burn the House Down

" But you must trust that your inner compass will guide you to the star you seek". I recently started watching a series on Netflix called Burn the House Down, and this line really made me think. The show itself although not perfect, made me realize the sense of self confidence that I have been missing. The characters in a way mirrored my feelings and to see them on screen made me feel pitiful.

I think everyone or at least many people, have a gutted pit in their heart that they can't seem to understand, or don't want to. While watching this show I cried along with the characters because I felt their hurt and I felt their desire to be better. I hope we all have this desire to be better not just for show.

When you are dealt with cards you can't seem to understand, that is when life becomes beautiful. The sadness can only follow you for so long. This show made me recognize that the feeling is mutual, I think that is the best advice.
