Thoughts on Life

I wanted to write about something beautiful that I heard this past week.

" I just want to go back home."

My friend Chamela shared this thought with me, and it made me think of what we are potentially missing out on. The context might be lost here, but it is up for your interpretation.

There are times where our lives feel mundane, or even pointless. There are times where running away from everything around you feels like the only option. I think the beauty of life is figuring out how you can make the best out of what is around you.

Throughout the school year I have been attending bible study, and each week I realize that my life truly has no meaning if I am not serving others. I know that may sound too much, or sad for some people. But, if you really think about it, what purpose do we have if we live our lives being empty and alone?

Luke 16:13 " ...You cannot serve God and wealth."

I think this is an issue a lot of people have. Money although necessary to live, is not what gives us life. My senior quote in high school was. " We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give"

There is so much beauty in uncertainty.

Chamela took this photo of a beautiful corner in my room. :)

I never really imagined to feel like this, but sometimes these feelings are worthwhile. I guess it sucks when you realize that you don't...
